The collapse of Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall destruction, was the concept protected concrete barrier that physically and ideologically divided Berlin from ‘61 to ’89, It especially divided West and East European countries, the wall cut off West Berlin from almost all of surrounding East Germany and East Berlin until government officials opened it in November 1989.

Stefano Arduini - The topic of the chapter is translation and its relation with communica- tion. It is possible to summarize the main characteristics of translation in some points. Translation concerns texts not phrases or words. Translation is a kind re- writing because it has the goal of building an image of a text, of an author or of an entire literary culture and to project them in a different reception environment.
